Miles Lindsey

Street Outreach Coordinator

Growing up in the DC metropolitan area, Miles has always aspired to live and work in the city, serving the DC community. He graduated from Dickinson College in May of 2018 with a degree in Sociology, and a minor in Creative Writing and English. Studying and working with diverse communities in both New Zealand and New Orleans, Miles is enthusiastic about bringing his knowledge to the DC community. Miles interned with the Community Foundation in Fairfax/Loudoun County, and since being at HER Resiliency Center, has grown in his position as Street Outreach Coordinator, fostering relationships and being on the ground meeting with peers. Given his background and studies in Sociology, HIV prevention, Trauma-Informed Care, and policy, Miles is able to support and connect those who we interact with during our outreach. He hopes to receive his MSW in the future, and continue working with those in urban areas. Aside from HER, Miles is an avid runner, having been a collegiate track and field athlete, and roller blader.
