Janet comes to HER Resiliency Center after 44 years in a variety of nursing fields including community health and management. Janet has always enjoyed contributing to nonprofits that have a direct impact on our community. She values the ability to use her expertise in the medical field in order to educate the community on their health.
Janet is a proud second generation Washington, DC native who has an affinity for community service and politics. The latest local and national political topics were always part of ongoing discussions at the dinner table. Janet is mother of 3 young women who all reside in Baltimore City, and one grandson who she prides as a talented young violinist.
Janet attended The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Janet currently volunteers for the Clay Pots organization in Southwest Baltimore and serves as its Vice-Chair of the board.
Janet is delighted to be able to continue serving our city’s most vulnerable people in the community, particularly women and youth. She is committed to helping all citizens find access to healthcare, housing, education and fair wages.
