Tamara is a Program Analyst at the Department of Human Services – Family Services Administration – a government agency that provide supports and services to help individuals and families who are homeless or at-risk of being homeless transition into or maintain permanent affordable housing. As a Program Analyst, Tamara manages a budget of 3.7 million dollars comprised of Transitional Housing, Street Outreach and Drop-In Center programs working collectively to end youth homelessness.
Prior to Tamara’s tenure at DHS she was a CBI Therapist and CBI Team Lead at First Home Care, an agency that provides mental health rehabilitative services to individual with emotional disturbances and mental illness.
Tamara’s passion for serving vulnerable youth made her transition from 10 years of Service in the U.S. Navy to a career in Human Service meaningful. Tamara holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University where she graduated with honors. She is a native of Dallas, Texas.
Tamara’s experience in the military, along with working with youth in both direct service and programmatic capacities make her uniquely skilled to assist HER Resiliency Center in achieving their mission.
